Comprehensive Evaluation of Growth Effect of Virus-free Tissue-cultured Seedlings of Main Sweetpotato Varieties in Henan Province
-
Abstract
This experiment utilized virus-free tissue-cultured seedlings of nine sweetpotato varieties commonly used in production as test materials. Four medium treatments were set up including MS(T1), MS+0.1 mg/L NAA(T2), 1/2 MS(T3), and 1/2 MS+0.1 mg/L NAA(T4). The effects of four medium types on the growth of nine sweetpotato tissue-cultured seedlings were compared. The comprehensive growth status was evaluated using the membership function value method, and the optimal medium conditions for each variety were determined. The results showed that there were significant differences in the growth of tissue-cultured seedlings of different sweetpotato varieties under the four treatments. In T1, T2, T3, and T4 treatments, the sweet potato varieties with the highest average membership function value were Yanshu 25, Luosushu 17, Luozishu 5 and Luozishu 5. Compared with other varieties, Luozishu 5 demonstrated the strongest adaptability to various culture medium. The most suitable culture medium for Luozishu 5, Luoshu 15, Shangshu 19, Mashali, Pushu 32, Yanshu 25 and Luosushu 17 was MS+0.1 mg/L NAA. The optimal medium for Luoshu 16 and Luozishu 1 was 1/2 MS+0.1 mg/L NAA.
