Abstract:
In order to better develop and utilize the feed of
Moringa, this study took the new woody feed source
Moringa as the research object, and discussed the effects of different cutting time on the production performance and feeding value of
Moringa. The plant height, ground diameter, stem-leaf ratio, fresh-dry ratio, fresh grass yield, hay yield and other production indicators and crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, and other feeding indicators were measured in three periods: growth for 1 month (T
1), growth for 2 months (T
2) and growth for 3 months (T
3). The results showed that with the delay of cutting time, the plant height, ground diameter, stem-leaf ratio, fresh-dry ratio, fresh grass yield and hay yield of
Moringa increased gradually. The crude protein content of
Moringa increased first and then decreased, the content of crude fat increased gradually, the content of crude fiber and acid detergent fiber increased gradually, and the content of neutral detergent fiber increased first and then decreased. The plant height, ground diameter, stem-leaf ratio, fresh-dry ratio, fresh grass yield and hay yield of T
2 were relatively high. The content of crude protein content was the highest (23.88%), which was significantly higher than that of T
1 and T
3 treatments. The content of neutral detergent fiber of T
2 was the highest (32.34%), which was significantly higher than that of T
1 and T
3. The content of crude fiber, crude fat and acid detergent fiber of T
2 were moderate. Therefore, based on the comprehensive indicators, the best cutting time for
Moringa as feed utilization is T
2.
