Abstract:
The arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) high-efficiency symbiotic
OsCERK1DY gene was introduced into
indica and
japonica rice, respectively, to compare the changes in symbiotic efficiency between AM fungi and rice. The dry matter weight and total phosphorus content of AM symbiotic rice lines were measured under four phosphorus fertilizer levels in the field, and the effects on phosphorus uptake and yield were analyzed. The results showed that compared to the control lines, the fungi colonization efficiency in AM symbiotic lines with
OsCERK1DY gene was significantly improved. There was no significant change in the total phosphorus content of plants, but the dry matter weight, phosphorus accumulation and use efficiency generally increased. AM symbiotic lines achieved higher yield through an increase in the number of grains per spike and seed setting rate. The introduction of
OsCERK1DY gene into the
japonica rice lines had a better effect on fungi colonization efficiency, phosphorus absorption capacity and yield than in the
indica rice lines. In conclusion,
OsCERK1DY gene can produce beneficial symbiotic effects in both
indica and
japonica subspecies, demonstrating broad-spectrum applicability and potential for widespread use in rice breeding.
