Abstract:
Due to the influences of factors such as genetics, climate, environment and geographical location, there are obvious variations in the quality of
Choerospondias axillaris fruits from different origins. To screen out superior provenances of fruit-used
Choerospondias axillaris, we collected 300 samples of
Choerospondias axillaris fruits from five typical production areas in Jiangxi Province. Subsequently, the fruit phenotypes, color, texture, mineral element contents and sensory evaluation were systematically analyzed, and the relationship among germplasm resources, texture characteristics and mineral element content of
Choerospondias axillaris were clarified. The results showed that the fruit shapes of
Choerospondias axillaris from Yugan County, Shangrao City, and Ganxian District, Ganzhou City were uniform. The coefficients of variation were 3.05% and 3.33% respectively. The pulp of
Choerospondias axillaris from Ganxian District, Ganzhou City, and Shangli County, Pingxiang City had high viscosity, with a value of-0.47 N. The pulp of
Choerospondias axillaris from Chongyi County, Ganzhou City, Wanzai County, Yichun City, and Yugan County, Shangrao City had high cohesiveness. The pulp of
Choerospondias axillaris from Wanzai County, Yichun City had the highest hardness and elasticity, which were 2.01 N and 0.42 mm respectively. The chewiness and fracture force of the pulp from Wanzai County, Yichun City and Yugan County, Shangrao City were higher. The contents of mineral elements Mg, K, and Zn in the fruits of
Choerospondias axillaris from Yugan County, Shangrao City were significantly higher than those in the fruits from the other four production areas. The sensory scores of fruits from Ganxian District, Ganzhou City, and Wanzai County, Yichun City were significantly higher than those of other production areas, reaching 76.68 and 70.65 points respectively. The research findings can provide technical support for the breeding, development and utilization of fruitused
Choerospondias axillaris varieties.
