2021—2024年广东种博会参展南瓜及其代表性品种遗传多样性分析

Cucurbita Varieties Exhibited at Guangdong Seed Expo from 2021 to 2024 and Genetic Diversity Analysis of Their Representative Varieties

  • 摘要: 以2021—2024年广东种业博览会参展的南瓜品种为研究对象,统计分析了参展的品种及其来源信息,并对代表性的品种进行了遗传多样性分析,以期探明南瓜品种市场和育种的发展趋势。结果表明:蜜本南瓜和板栗南瓜是主流的展示品种,两者合计占比71.42%;参展单位主要集中在华南、华北和华东地区,其中以华南地区的参展单位最活跃;不同区域参展单位展示的南瓜品种类型存在明显的差异,呈现出多样性和不均衡性。对2023年参展的20个代表性品种进行全基因组重测序和遗传进化分析的结果表明:这些品种涵盖了中国南瓜和印度南瓜2个栽培种,种间的遗传距离明显大于种内;不同类型南瓜品种呈现出明显的遗传聚类特征,不同类型之间存在一定的遗传差异;部分品种送展单位提供的分类信息与遗传进化树的分析结果不一致。综上,明确了南瓜市场上的主流品种、经营主体的地域分布、品种遗传多样性特征,为南瓜种质资源研究、品种改良、亲缘关系探究提供了科学的依据,有助于推动南瓜种业发展。

     

    Abstract: To explore the market situation of pumpkin varieties and the development trend of breeding, statistical analysis of the varieties and exhibitors’ information, and genetic diversity analysis of representative varieties were performed on the pumpkin varieties exhibited at the Guangdong Seed Expo from 2021 to 2024. The results showed that Miben-type pumpkins and chestnut-type pumpkins were the mainstream exhibited varieties, accounting for 71.42% of the total. The exhibitors were mainly concentrated in South China, North China, and East China, with South China being the most active region. There were obvious differences in the types of pumpkin varieties exhibited in different regions, showing diversity and imbalance. Genome resequencing and phylogenetic analysis were performed on 20 representative varieties exhibited in 2023. The results showed that these varieties covered two cultivated species of C. moschata and C. maxima. The genetic distance between species was significantly greater than that within species. Different types of pumpkin varieties exhibited obvious genetic clustering characteristics, and there were certain genetic differences among different types. The classification information provided by the exhibitors for some varieties was inconsistent with the results of the genetic evolution tree analysis. This study revealed the mainstream varieties in the pumpkin market, the geographical distribution of business entities, and the genetic diversity characteristics of varieties, providing a basis for the research of pumpkin germplasm resources, breeding improvement, and exploration of genetic relationships, which is helpful to promote the development of the pumpkin seed industry.
