Abstract:
In order to preliminarily explore the status and changes of rice quality of rice varieties approved in Fujian Province, statistical analysis was conducted on the composition and structure of 475 rice varieties approved in Fujian from 2013 to 2024, with a focus on analyzing and studying the rice quality status and changes of 439 indica edible rice varieties, in order to provide reference for future rice quality improvement breeding. The results showed that over time, the quality of rice significantly improved, with a significant increase in the proportion of high-quality rice and the compliance rate of some rice quality traits. Among them, the head rice rate of early and mid-season rice significantly increased, and the chalkiness degree significantly decreased. The chalkiness of late rice also significantly decreased. Therefore, in rice quality breeding in the future, it is necessary to screen materials with high head rice rate, low chalkiness, and alkali digestion value reaching high-quality levels, which is conducive to improving rice quality.
