Abstract:
The cigar variety Yunxue 1 was used as the test material, and the effects of transplanting density, nitrogen application rate and number of leaves left on the growth, development, yield and quality of cigar tobacco in dry-hot flat dam area of Yuanjiang were studied by orthogonal design. The results showed that the transplanting density of 20250 plants/hm
2, nitrogen application rate of 150 kg/hm
2 and number of leaves of 16 leaves were beneficial to the growth and development of cigars in the flourishing period, but there was no significant difference in the agronomic characters in the mature period among different treatments. Proper increase of transplanting density and nitrogen application, and proper reduction of the number of leaves retained were beneficial to the formation of more harmonious internal chemical components and the improvement of yield and quality of cigar leaves. Based on the results of the experiments, it was suggested that the combination of planting density of 22500 plants/hm
2, nitrogen application rate of 210 kg/hm
2, and fourteen leaves per plant should be adopted in dry-hot flat dam area of Yuanjiang, which is more advantageous to the improvement of cigar leaf yield and quality in dry-hot flat dam area of Yuanjiang.
