Abstract: Seeds are the chips of agriculture, the core of ensuring national food security, and the top priority of storing grain in technology. In recent years, Jiangxi Province has achieved positive results in the development of modern seed industry through the in-depth implementation of seed industry revitalization actions, but there are still problems such as weak core competitiveness of seed industry enterprises, low level of germplasm resources development and utilization, insufficient original innovation ability of breeding, imperfect seed industry security system, and imperfect financial assistance system. It is suggested to learn from the advanced practices of Henan and Hunan provinces, and to achieve the high-quality development of modern seed industry by supporting potential seed enterprises and cultivating ‘leading geese’ of Jiangxi seed industry, strengthening the protection of germplasm resources, developing and utilizing excellent germplasm genes, vigorously carrying out scientific research, enhancing independent innovation capabilities, improving the seed industry security system, giving full play to the positive effect of policies, improving financial support policies, and helping the high-quality development of seed enterprises.
