Abstract:
To clarify the climate suitability and suitable transplanting period for the growth of cigar tobacco leaves in Mian County, Hanzhong City, the climatic factors of different transplanting periods were evaluated comprehensively, and the effects of different transplanting periods of two varieties on the growth period of cigar tobacco in field, agronomic characteristics of tobacco leaves, field diseases and pests, conventional chemical components and chlorophyll content were analyzed. The results showed that:(1) The overall climate suitability was high. The temperature and sunshine hours were within the suitable range for the growth of cigar tobacco leaves, but the rainfall was slightly insufficient and needs to be replenished in a timely manner.(2)The growth period of the field was gradually shortened with the postponement of the transplanting period, which was positively correlated with agronomic traits such as plant height, leaf length and leaf width, and negatively correlated with field pests and diseases.(3) The chemical components such as reducing sugar, total sugar, total nitrogen, and potassium content in each transplanting period were positively correlated with post transplanting. The contents of chloride ion and nicotine in tobacco leaves were not significantly different among different treatments, and the maximum protein content was observed in the transplanting treatment on May 10th.(4) The average chlorophyll content during the growth period of the field was within the suitable growth range, with the maximum value being transplanted on May 10th. In conclusion, the climate conditions in the Mianxian tobacco area have outstanding conditions for producing high-quality cigar tobacco leaves. The growth status of cigar tobacco leaves transplanted on May 10th in the same altitude area represented by the Mianxian experimental site is more in line with the climate conditions, and performs better in all aspects.
