Abstract: Based on panel data from 16 cities (prefectures) in Yunnan Province from 2003 to 2022, and on the basis of constructing an evaluation index system for the integrated development of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries in rural areas, the Herfindahl-Hirschman index, grey correlation degree and entropy method were used to measure the level of integrated development of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries in rural areas of Yunnan Province. The results showed that: (1) the overall level of integrated development of the primary industry in rural areas of Yunnan Province was at a medium to high level, but it was in a fluctuating downward trend during the investigation period. (2) The integrated development of rural primary industry in various regions of Yunnan Province is unbalanced, presenting a regional pattern of northwest Yunnan＞south Yunnan＞west Yunnan＞central Yunnan＞northeast Yunnan. (3) There are significant differences in the integrated development of the primary industry in rural areas among various states (cities) in Yunnan Province, with only Pu’er City and Diqing Prefecture having a higher level of integrated development. (4) The overall level of integrated development of the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries in rural areas of Yunnan Province is relatively high, and it is on a steady upward trend during the inspection period. The five subsystems of agricultural industry chain extension, agricultural multifunctional expansion, integrated development of agricultural service industry, economic effects of integrated development and social effects of integrated development have all shown varying degrees of growth trends. Yunnan Province should continuously promote the integration and restructuring of internal agricultural industries, consolidate the support of agricultural technology talents, and stimulate the momentum of enriching the people and increasing income by extending the agricultural industry chain, strengthening agricultural scientific and technological innovation, and improving the mechanism of interest linkage, in order to promote the integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries in rural areas throughout Yunnan Province.
